The Harris-Bacor Family Foundation was founded on the central tenet that we rise by lifting others. We are committed to uplifting and supporting the needs of underserved and underrepresented communities in the US and abroad in the areas of health, education, environment, human services, and human and civil rights through our grant-making and philanthropic efforts.
The Harris-Bacor Family Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization (federal tax ID number 86-1473442), with an IRS ruling year of 2021. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Our charitable gifts and grants have supported non-profit organizations, including but not limited to the ones highlighted below, to further advance our mission of lifting up underserved and underrepresented communities in the US and abroad. To date, we have prioritized our giving to support maternal health care in rural Tanzania, provide meals for the houseless community and those hit hardest by food insecurity and climate disasters, deliver medical supplies at the height of the covid-19 pandemic, and ensure access to educational programs and enrichment opportunities for students who are historically underrepresented or come from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
We have partnered with a local high school and the Pasadena Educational Foundation to identify qualified students and award scholarships to graduating high school seniors who embody resilience, integrity, service, and excellence (RISE) in their pursuit of personal development and their higher education goals. We are proud to honor these outstanding students as our RISE Scholars.
